Our theme this year is "Romeo and Giulietta", A Bad Romance. The theme is loosely based around the famous Shakespeare play but more the aftermath of love. Instead of using the traditional Juliet we took inspiration from our main sponsors Alfa Romeo who launched their new model last year as part of their Centenary celebrations, the all-new Alfa Romeo Giulietta which gave us our Giulietta.
It is a tribute to one of the brand's most important models, the 1950's Alfa Giulietta which was notable for being the first Alfa Romeo developed specifically for real people, not just the well-heeled. The all-new Giulietta recaptures the spirit of the original not only in terms of its technical sophistication and stunning good looks but also in terms of being a truly affordable car. 
So that was how we got our Romeo and Giulietta, the bad romance is to just make it that bit more interesting. Expect a lot of black and red, black roses and looks with a Gothic feel.
Tickets go on sale very soon which can be bought from DIT campuses and Tickets.ie. Tickets are €15 for students and €20 for non-students from all DIT SU Shops. (All proceeds go to the DIT Foundation student scholarship fund). From all our planning this week for events, goodie bags and general delights to make the show and after party amazing you will definitely want to get a ticket for the show!!
