Vodafone DIT Student Design Competition 2013

The Vodafone DIT Student Design National Competition is an amazing opportunity for any upcoming student designer in Ireland. This National competition provides an amazing opportunity to get National Media exposure and chance to network within the Irish Fashion Industry.


This year the Vodafone DIT Fashion Show will be hosting its 10th show. The Vodafone DIT Fashion Show has gone from strength to strength each year, showcasing on-trend fashions, and supporting young designers. We this year’s show bigger and better than ever. We invite you to join our journey by designing an outfit inspired by our theme: House of Chaos:  A Twisted tale.

Our theme tells the story of not only how our show has changed and manifested over the years, but of how fashion trends and style are forever changing in a rapid chaotic manner. The theme symbolises the fusion and twisting of the beautiful, eccentric and sometimes crazy forms created from the passion and skill of designers. Obscure and unexplained narratives, chaotic chronicles of design. Stories and fables usually have a fixed path with a logical conclusion, but in our story, our twisted tale, the chaos will lead to unexpected surprises and sometimes illogical conclusions.

Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places


What your portfolio should include:

• Storyboard with a clear development of how you interpret the theme
• Collection of Sketches 
• Colour and fabric swatches
• Theme developments
• Creative journals
• Supply detailed description of the interpretation and development of the entry
• This is a written statement of your own personal interpretation of the theme and its development through your work/entry

The Deadline for portfolio submissions is Tuesday 26th of February @ 5pm
